AUTISM SERVICES FUNDING

ONTARIO AUTISM PROGRAM (OAP)

As of April 1st, 2019, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services announced changes to the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Once your child receives a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), you must apply for funding through Access OAP.

To register your child with Access OAP, click this link:

Please be aware that there is currently an extremely long waitlist for government funding, so registering your child as soon as possible is essential to reduce wait times and ensure timely access to resources.

Creative Therapy Associates is an approved provider through the Ontario Autism Program. Our team includes Registered Behavior Analysts, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychotherapists   who are experienced in delivering high-quality, individualized interventions.

To make the most of available funding and services, ensure your child is registered with OAP, and stay informed about any updates or changes to the program. If you have any questions about the registration process or how to access services, please feel free to reach out to us for guidance and support.

For more information and support on how to access services, you can contact Autism Ontario’s Service Navigation Program at                  1-800-472-7789 or visit the Ontario Autism Program’s website.

JORDAN’S PRINCIPLE

Jordan's Principle is a child-first principle aimed at ensuring that First Nations children have access to the public services and supports they need. It applies to all First Nations children living on or off-reserve, regardless of where they live in Canada. Jordan’s Principle is designed to address situations where there may be disputes between different levels of government or service providers, ensuring that children receive services without delays, denial, or disruption.

Jordan's Principle ensures that no child is denied services or experiences delays because of jurisdictional disputes between governments or service providers. It prioritizes the needs of the child, removing barriers to essential care and support.
